The fifth month of pregnancy
With increasing body weight gain, the abdomen increases. By the end of the fourth month, body weight may increase by about 3 kg compared to the pre-pregnancy condition. Breast warts darken, and a turbid liquid - colostrum - may flow out of the breast. A woman may already feel faint movements of the fetus.
Fifth month of life
A fetus, approximately 25 cm in length and 340 g in weight, becomes more physically active, and can even react to certain stimuli from the environment. During this period, through the placenta, the mother gives the child immune bodies that will protect him from birth after birth. Italian hair appears on the head, different from the nap covering the whole body. Teeth begin to develop, but they will remain hidden in their jaws for up to several months after birth.
Sixth month of pregnancy
There is usually a rapid increase in body weight during this period. By the end of the sixth month, the body weight increases by about 4.5 kg. The face and the whole body of a woman become slightly swollen, this is due to the retention of water in the body. Because this is usually the only annoyance of this period, women's well-being at this time is usually good.
Sixth month of life
A child weighing around 600 g is already very similar to a newborn baby, but still, due to a lack of subcutaneous fat, it is lean. The whole skin therefore wrinkles heavily. The movements of the whole body and face are very clear, the fetus often reacts strongly to sounds from the outside world. Well developed chest muscles allow for movements that prepare the child to breathe after birth with atmospheric air. After the 24th week, the fetus may be able to survive outside the mother's body.
