Maturity is the time in which the child gradually acquires the characteristics of his or her gender. Such features are divided into so-called primary, secondary and tertiary sexual characteristics.
Primary sexual characteristics are the occurrence of internal genital organs - ovaries or testes.
Secondary features are the presence of external organs specific to a given sex.
On the other hand, such features as: male or female body proportions, voice color, type of hair or disposition are tertiary. They start to appear around 10 -12. one year old in girls and around 12 -14. one year old in boys. Of course, there are significant differences between individuals in the time and course of puberty.
