Mycosis of the foot
Lack of care causes re-degradation of the skin
When we restore the continuity of the skin there will be a problem of its drying and hardening. Skin, if you do not apply care treatments, can become cracked again! Heels have a constant tendency to dry out and cracks. Especially in summer, when we wear sandals and summer shoes that reveal the heels. The lack of moisture reduces the elasticity of the skin, and the excess movement strains stiff collagen fibers that can not cope with pressure - they break down and break. Other signs of drying that should trigger an alarm in us are spots of discolored yellow skin and a field of shredding and scaly skin on the outer edges of the heels.
Removing excess skin from the heel
We recommend the following daily care: (for people with slight stratum corneum growth on the skin of the heel - every 2-3 days)
• soaking feet in warm water with salt, which softens the skin and facilitates its removal
• removing the excess stratum corneum from the heel with a special heel grater - preferably a ceramic grater and avoid metal
• avoid pumice, because it is a habitat of bacteria;
• cream specially designed for dry, keratinous skin, rub it in daily, preferably in the evening;
• vitamin A - once a week or a month, rub your feet generously, put on clean cotton socks and let the nutrient absorb it overnight;
(For example, the specialist company Scholl offers a wide range of products that help remove rough, hard skin and ensure that the skin on your feet and heels remains smooth, soft and moisturized.)
Take care of the right weight and footwear
Remember that your foot and heel feel the weight of your body very well. What you carry every day - it prints on your heel every now and then! So check your weight. If you carry a lot of extra weight, check your weight and lose weight. Your footwear also plays an important role. Choose shoes (or sandals) that have properly profiled insoles and support the heel well.
