The fat secreted by the sebaceous glands protects the hair from weather conditions, but when it is too much it causes inflammation of the scalp and dandruff. In addition, the excess of sebum (so-called seborrhea) disfigures the hair. To make your hair look beautiful and healthy, it should not be too dry or too greasy. Word - should be normal! How to recognize it, however? Contrary to appearances, it is not so difficult. If you wash your hair two or three times a week and do not use it, they lose their nice and fresh look and start to get stuck - you have normal hair.
Three types of hair
The amount of secreted sebum decides on the division of hair into three types - very important for the development of an individual rational way of washing hair. We distinguish in this respect:
- oily hair.
- normal hair,
- dry hair
Oily hair
Highly oily hair is one that after one day from the moment of washing is stuck in greasy, shiny strands. Therefore, when your hair on the second day after washing will lose a nice and fresh look and start to clump - you have oily hair.
Normal hair
If you wash your hair two or three times a week and do not use it, they lose their nice and fresh look and start to get stuck - you have normal hair.
Hair dry
If you are washing your hair rarely (once, at most twice a week), and you feel the roughness, dryness, and also your hair are brittle - you have the so-called dry hair.
But beware - when washing, fatty hair protection should be protected
Hair properly moisturized sebum become more resistant to damage and water loss. Sebum is also necessary for maintaining the proper functioning of the protective barrier of the surface of the scalp, similar to the rest of the skin. Due to the proper composition of sebum on the skin surface is maintained its acidic reaction, which protects it, among others against pathogenic microorganisms and adversely interacting chemicals. Therefore, skillful washing should always take into account the level of activity of the sebaceous glands and the amount of lipid secretion. In practice, this means that in the case of overproduction of sebum by sebaceous glands, washing should be sufficiently frequent. However, it should always take into account the principle of preserving the sebum protective film on the hair.
To make your hair look beautiful, you need to wash it not too often and not too rarely.
The proper frequency of washing depends on whether our hair is "dry", "normal" or greasy ". In other words, from the assessment of your individual tendency to seborrhea and the resulting rate of greasy hair.
