Candidiasis of the genital mucous membranes (vulvovaginitis, vaginal discharge).
Composition:
1 vaginal globule contains 600 mg of fenticonazole nitrate. 1 g of vaginal cream contains 20 mg of fenticonazole nitrate.
Action:
An imidazole derivative with a wide range of antifungal activity. It acts directly on the cell membrane of the fungus, by inhibiting the oxidative enzymes, leading to the accumulation of peroxides and death of the fungal cell. It works fungistically and fungicide on dermatophytes (all of the genusTrichophyton, Microsporum) and yeasts (Candida albicans), additionally inhibits the secretion of acidic proteinase by them. It also acts antibacterially against Gram-positive bacteria.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to fenticonazole or other components of the preparation.
Precautions:
Pregnancy and lactation:
It is not advisable to allow for poor absorption of the preparation through the skin and vaginal mucosa.
Side effects:
In exceptional cases erythema and burning sensation were observed. If you experience signs of hypersensitivity or resistance to the drug, you should stop taking the medicine. Fenticonazole is poorly absorbed when used as directed, therefore no systemic side effects are anticipated.
Dosage:
Globulki: intravaginally one injections of one 600 ml globule before bedtime (if necessary, treatment can be repeated after 3 days). Cream: about 5 g (content of the dispenser) is introduced deeply vaginally at bedtime, if necessary, repeat the dose in the morning.
