Composition:
1 g of liquid contains 360 mg of polikrezulen.
Action:
A chemotherapeutic with antibacterial and trichomicidal properties. It also exerts local hemostatic, astringent and exfoliating effects. Due to its strongly acidic character, it causes rapid coagulation of the diseased tissue, accelerating epithelial cell renewal and destroying pathogenic flora. It does not affect healthy tissues and the physiological flora of the vagina.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to polykrezulen. In gynecological indications, the drug should not be used during menstruation.
Precautions:
Do not use other medicines or soaps that cause irritation at the same time. In patients using vaginal medicine, sexual intercourse should be avoided for as long as it takes for a full recovery of the affected place. Do not swallow the drug (the possibility of oesophageal erosions). If swallowed, the patient should drink plenty of water immediately and contact a doctor. Avoid contact of the preparation with eyes, skin or fabric - they should be washed immediately with water; ophthalmologic consultation may be required. After the treatment in the area of the oral mucosa, the mouth should be thoroughly rinsed.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Due to the lack of sufficient data, the drug should be used in pregnant and lactating women only for specific indications, after taking into account the resulting risk for the mother and the child. During pregnancy - especially in the late period - cervical accumulation should not be performed. Cautery of the vaginal part of the cervix and parts of the vagina in the vicinity of the vagina should be performed with extreme caution and only in the case of specific indications.
Side effects:
Rare: urticaria, systemic allergic reactions (eg angioneurotic edema, generalized urticaria) for anaphylaxis, vaginal candidiasis, discomfort and burning sensations and feeling of a foreign body in the vagina, pruritus. Extremely, local irritation and short-term burning were observed at the beginning of treatment. May have a detrimental effect on tooth enamel.
Dosage:
Cervical erosions: after drying with a vaginal tampon, apply for the erosion for 1-3 minutes swabs wiped with an undiluted preparation (repeat the treatment 2-3 times a week). Vaginal rinsing: use the solution obtained by diluting 5-15 ml of preparation (1-3 teaspoons) in 1 l of warm water.
