Composition:
1 tabl contains 5 mg or 10 mg of medroxyprogesterone acetate.
Action:
A synthetic derivative of Progesterone with a stronger gestagenic action than the other androgenic action. It is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. In the liver it undergoes hydrolysis, it is excreted in the urine in the form of metabolites.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to medroxyprogesterone. Pregnancy or its suspicion. Thromboembolism. acute and chronic liver disease. Bleeding from the genital tract of unexplained etiology. Genital cancer, early breast cancer.

Side effects:
The preparation is usually well tolerated. After high doses (500-1000 mg per day), used to treat certain cancers, there were observed: galactorrhea, depression, headache and dizziness, pruritus, urticaria. Thromboembolic disorders, increased excitability, nipple soreness, excessive hair growth or alopecia, weight gain are rarely observed. At low doses (5-10 mg), these symptoms occur less often and are usually not a reason for discontinuation of the drug. Hypersensitivity to the drug is very rare.
Dosage:
Individual, according to the doctor's instructions. Most often: in primary and secondary amenorrhea and in the postmenopausal period: orally 2.5-10 mg daily from the 16th to the 25th day of the cycle. Functional uterine bleeding: 5-10 mg daily for 5-10 days, starting from the 16th or 21st day of the cycle.
