Slight skin damage, skin abrasions, mild inflammation of the skin, limited purulent skin lesions, first degree burns (erythema), bedsores ulcers and other difficult-to-heal skin lesions, inflammation and swelling after insect bites. Supportive in ulcerous varicose veins. The preparation used traditionally in the mentioned indications and its effectiveness is based only on long-term use and experience.
Composition:
100 g Ointment contains 3 g of propolis extract. The preparation contains propylene glycol.
Action:
The preparation works antimicrobially and anti-inflammatory locally in contact with the skin. It facilitates healing.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Allergic to propolis, bee preparations or benzoic acid derivatives.
Precautions:
People who are allergic to other preparations of bee origin (honey, pollen, royal jelly) may experience: rash, erythema, increased swelling or other symptoms of allergy; stop taking the medicine. Due to the lack of sufficient data, it is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
Pregnancy and lactation:
There were no well-controlled studies of the preparation in pregnant and breast-feeding women. Do not use in women prone to allergies.
Side effects:
Until now, as part of spontaneous monitoring, no side effects have been reported after using the medicine. Propolis may cause allergic reactions, including: swelling of hands, feet, face, lips, mouth, throat causing difficulty in swallowing or breathing. An ointment containing propylene glycol may cause skin irritation.
Dosage:
Outwardly. Adults, adolescents and children over 6 years: spread with a thin layer of affected areas, depending on the needs, up to several times a day.
