Composition:
100 ml of the preparation contains 100 ml 3% tincture of propolis. 1 ml of liquid contains 25 mg of propolis. The preparation contains not less than 90% (v / v) ethanol.
Action:
The preparation works locally in contact with the skin and mucous membranes. It has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. It facilitates healing.
Contraindications:
Allergy to products of bee origin. Do not use on open wounds. Do not drink the preparation. Do not use in people who are hypersensitive, prone to allergic reactions to various types of sensitizers (especially preservatives such as benzoic acid, salts and esters of p-hydroxybenzoic acid).
Precautions:
People who are allergic to other products of bee origin (honey, pollen, royal jelly) may experience: rash, erythema, edema or other symptoms of sensitization. Before the first use, it is advisable to perform an allergy test, consisting in applying a swab soaked in the preparation in the flexion of the hand in the elbow. If swelling, redness and itching of the skin occur within 3-24 h, preparations containing propolis should be discontinued. The drug contains 93% ethanol. Frequent external use without dilution causes irritation and dryness of the skin as well as irritation of the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat. Due to the high ethanol content, the possibility of swallowing the preparation and the lack of sufficient data, it is not recommended to use the drug in children under 6 years of age.
Pregnancy and lactation:
There are no well-controlled studies of the preparation in women during pregnancy and feeding, therefore it is not recommended to use without consulting a doctor. Do not use in women prone to allergies.
Side effects:
Hypersensitivity symptoms may occur: swelling of the hands, feet, face, lips, mouth, throat causing difficulty in swallowing or breathing. People who are allergic to other products of apiculture may include: rash, erythema, increased edema or other symptoms of sensitization. If you get any of these symptoms, stop taking the medicine immediately and talk to your doctor.
Dosage:
Outwardly. Adults, adolescents and children and over 6 years of age: topical preparation for the skin without dilution and for rinsing and brushing the mouth and throat after dilution in cold boiled water. Depending on the needs, use 2-4 times a day. Preparation of aqueous solutions: mouthwash and throat solutions; Drop 25 drops (1ml) in 1/4 glass of water or 50 drops (2ml) in 1/2 cup of boiled, cold water; solutions for brushing the mouth and throat with a hygienic stick: 50 drops (2 ml) dissolve in 15 ml (1.5 tablespoons) of cool boiled water. Remove water solutions immediately after reconstitution. Before the first use, the patient should be instructed to do an allergy test.
