Composition:
1 tabl powl. contains 500 mg of micronized diosmin. The product contains lactose and sunset yellow.
Action:
The drug affects the flexibility of the vessels - increases venous tension and protects against vessels. It reduces vein expansion and venous stasis. At the level of microcirculation, it reduces capillary permeability and increases their resistance. Increases the strength of the capillary system, especially in patients with increased brittleness of vessels. After oral administration, diosmin is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract only after metabolism by the intestinal flora to the aglycone - diosmetin. In both unmetabolized and metabolized form, it is excreted mainly in faeces and urine. T0,5 in plasma is 31.5 ± 8.6 hours.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Precautions:
In the case of intensification of ailments associated with varicose veins, it should be remembered that the therapy is only symptomatic and should be short-lived; if the symptoms do not subside, proctological examination should be performed and the appropriate treatment should be selected. The use of the preparation in symptomatic treatment in the case of exacerbation of ailments associated with varicose veins does not exclude administration of other drugs rectally. In the case of venous circulation disorders in the lower limbs, the therapeutic effect of the drug can be increased through a suitable lifestyle (avoiding sun exposure and staying in a standing position for a long time, maintaining a proper body weight, wearing special stockings). The product contains lactose and should not be used in patients with rare hereditary galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or malabsorption of glucose-galactose.
Pregnancy and lactation:
The product is not recommended during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Side effects:
Rare: diarrhea, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, malaise, rash, pruritus, urticaria. In the case of mild gastrointestinal adverse reactions and neurovegetative disorders, discontinuation of the preparation is not required.
Dosage:
Oral: usually 2 tablets daily, in two divided doses (morning and evening), during meals. In the case of exacerbation of ailments associated with varicose veins, the dose is 6 tablets. daily for the first 4 days, then 4 tables. daily for the Next 3 days, during meals.
