Dry keratoconjunctivitis and symptomatic treatment of other forms of "dry eye" syndrome.
Composition:
1 g of gel contains 2.5 mg of carbomer. The preparation contains benzalkonium chloride and sorbitol.
Action:
Preparation for conjunctival use. It contains polyacrylic acid, which is a high molecular weight carboxyvinyl polymer that increases the viscosity of the gel. Thanks to the good lubricating properties, the gel forms a protective layer on the cornea, soothing the symptoms of the "dry eye" syndrome.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.
Precautions:
No studies on use in children have been carried out - use is not recommended. Benzalkonium chloride (preservative) can in rare cases cause punctate or ulcerative keratitis; it can change the color of contact lenses. Do not wear soft contact lenses while using the product. Hard contact lenses should be removed before drug instillation and wait at least 30 min. before re-installation.
Pregnancy and lactation:
The use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is only allowed when the benefits for the mother resulting from its use outweigh the potential risk to the fetus or breast-fed baby.
Side effects:
Immediately after instillation transient visual disturbances, burning or other signs of local irritation may occur.
Dosage:
Adults (including the elderly): 1 drop of the gel into the conjunctival sac 1-4 times a day depending on the severity of the discomfort. Do not touch the eye with the tip of the eye dropper.
