For external use (ear drops) as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic in the treatment of local ear diseases after consultation with an ENT specialist.
Composition:
Droplets containing 10 g: 1000 mg of phenazone and 9 g of glycerol.
Action:
Phenazone contained in drops acts antipyretic, weakly analgesic and spasmolytic by inhibiting the activity of prostaglandin cyclooxygenase; shows local anesthetic effect, after applying externally to the ear canal the analgesic effect depends mainly on the anti-inflammatory effect of the drug.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the drug, pyrazole allergy. Other contraindications should be treated as relative, when it is impossible to assess the amount of phenazone absorbed into the body: acute renal failure and / or liver, changes in the morphological image of the blood (anemia, agranulocytosis, leukopenia), acute hepatic porphyria, congenital G-deficiency 6-PD. In children, only at the express request of a doctor, only with absolute necessity.

Even at small doses of absorbed phenazone, toxic symptoms may occur because it is associated with individual hypersensitivity to the drug (agranulocytosis, bone marrow damage). When applied topically, it can cause exfoliative dermatitis (in about 0.1% of patients).
Dosage:
Locally in the form of ear drops in painful inflammation after 5 drops to the external auditory canal 3-5 times a day. The outer ear should be placed with cotton wool or a full-length dressing.
