indications:
Short-term symptomatic treatment for colds, flu and flu-like conditions, with fever, runny nose and sinusitis, headache, muscle and joint pain.
Composition:
1 tabl Effervescent contains 500 mg of Paracetamol, 30 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and 60 mg of ascorbic acid.
Action:
A preparation with analgesic and antipyretic effect. Paracetamol acts on pain receptors by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis and inhibiting the synthesis or chemical action of mediators or other substances. Affects the thermoregulatory center in the hypothalamus. Pseudoephedrine stimulates α receptors1-renergic in smooth muscle vessels. It causes contraction of vascular smooth muscle and, as a result, vasoconstriction of the nasal and sinus mucous membranes, reduces congestion and swelling of the tissue and improves patency of the nasal passages. Ascorbic acid supplements the need for vitamin C. The product is well and quickly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Cmax occurs after 30-60 min. The preparation is mainly excreted in the urine.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Hepatic impairment and severe renal failure. Severe hypertension. The period of treatment and 14 days after the end of MAO inhibitors treatment.
Precautions:
It is not recommended to use the preparation in children under 12 years, because of the high content of active substances. Do not use in patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose and fructose intolerance, lactase deficiency (Lapp type) or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome and in patients with phenylketonuria, as the preparation contains aspartame. Use with caution in patients with impaired liver or kidney function, controlled or mild hypertension, diabetes mellitus, peripheral vascular disease, glaucoma, hyperthyroidism or hypertrophy, hyperoxaluria or kidney stones, G-6-PD deficiency, hemochromatosis, thalassemia and sideroblastic anemia.
Pregnancy and lactation:
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, use only if absolutely necessary.
Side effects:
The following may occur: nervousness, tremors, insomnia, dizziness, agitation; nausea, vomiting; sweating; weakness; anxiety; allergic reactions (difficulty in breathing, laryngeal spasm, swelling of the lips, tongue, face, urticaria, erythema, non-specific rash) and more severe skin reactions accompanied by symptoms such as fever and leukocytosis; liver damage (yellowing of the skin and eyeballs, nausea, abdominal pain, severe weakness, unusual bleeding, bruising); tendency to bleed; low blood sugar (fatigue, hunger and thirst, dizziness, weakness); increased blood pressure; angina pectoris, arrhythmias; increased intraocular pressure; hypersensitivity to light.
Dosage:
Orally. Adults and children from 13 years: 1-2 tabl. up to 4 times a day, every 4-6 h. The maximum daily dose is 8 tablets. The maximum single dose of paracetamol for adults and adolescents is 1 g, the maximum daily dose is 4 g. The maximum dose of pseudoephedrine for adults and adolescents is 240 mg per day. The product should not be used for more than 7 days, and in the case of persistent high fever for no longer than 3 days. Do not use in patients who are addicted to alcohol or suffering from liver disease due to alcohol abuse doses greater than 2 g per day. Table. dissolve in water.
