Pain of various origins and of various intensity, in particular: headache, migraine, rheumatic, articular, muscular, bone pain, spine pain, neuralgia, menstrual pain, toothache. Fever during colds and / or influenza.
Composition:
1 tabl contains 500 mg or 1000 mg of paracetamol.
Action:
The drug with analgesic and antipyretic effect, mainly by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins at o.u.n. The reduction in the concentration of prostaglandins in the hypothalamus causes antipyretic effects. Quickly and completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. It is slightly bound to plasma proteins. T0,5 is 1-4 hours. Metabolized in the liver, excreted in the urine as glucuronides and sulphates and after coupling with cysteine. In patients with renal failure, conjugated Paracetamol accumulates in the blood. When given high doses of the drug arises in the body N-acetyl-p-benzoquinone responsible probably for the induction of liver damage.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to paracetamol or any of the excipients. Severe hepatic or renal failure. Alcoholic disease. Concomitant use of MAO inhibitors and up to 2 weeks after discontinuation of their use.
Precautions:
Do not use this medicine with other preparations containing paracetamol. Caution is advised in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance 30-80 ml / min) or hepatic function (Child-Pugh score <9); with acute hepatitis and those taking concomitantly medicines that impair liver function; with Gilbert's band; chronically addicted to alcohol; dehydrated patients; chronically undernourished; deficient in glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase; with haemolytic anemia and patients with bronchial asthma sensitive to Acetylsalicylic acid (risk of cross-sensitization). A single dose of paracetamol in a dose greater than the maximum daily dose may lead to severe liver damage. Routine use of analgesics, in particular the use of different analgesics at the same time, can lead to permanent kidney damage. Do not drink alcohol while using the drug (risk of toxic liver damage).
Pregnancy and lactation:
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, use only if absolutely necessary.
Side effects:
Table. 500 mg - rare: malaise, hypotension, elevated levels of liver enzymes; very rare: hypersensitivity reactions, changes in the morphological picture of the blood (thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, neutropenia). Table. 1000 mg - rare: platelet related disorders, stem cell disorders, hypersensitivity (excluding angioneurotic edema), depression, confusion, hallucinations, tremor, headache, abnormal vision, edema, hypotension, bronchospasm, bleeding, abdominal pain , diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abnormal liver function, liver failure, liver necrosis, jaundice, pruritus, rash, sweating, purpura, angioneurotic edema, urticaria, dizziness (excluding vertigo), malaise, fever, excessive sedation drug interactions, poisoning; very rare: thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, neutropenia, agranulocytosis, haemolytic anemia and pancytopenia, hypoglycaemia, hepatotoxicity, sterile pyuria and renal side effects, hypersensitivity reactions requiring discontinuation of treatment.
Dosage:
Orally.Table. 500 mg. Adults and children over 12 years: 1-2 tabl. once; in persistent pain: 1-2 tabl. 2-4 times a day, not more often than every 4 hours; in cancer pain: 10 mg / kg / day every 4 hours. The maximum daily dose is 4 g. Children aged 6-12: 0.5-1 tabl. with greater intervals between individual doses than for adults. Children from 3 months up to 6 years: 10 mg / kg / day, not more often than every 6 hours.Table. 1000 mg. Adults and children from 12 years (over 50 kg): 1 tablet once, no more than every 4-6 hours, maximum 4 tabl. per day.The single dose should be reduced to 500 mg, the maximum daily dose to 2000 mg of paracetamol and the longer interval between doses administered to 6-8 hours in patients: weighing less than 50 kg; with mild to moderate renal or hepatic impairment; with Gilbert's band; dehydrated, long-term malnourished and in the case of chronic alcoholism and long-term treatment. Do not take this medicine for more than 3 days.
