Onychomycosis (especially in the distal part, covering less than 80% of the nail area) caused by dermatophytes and yeasts.
Composition:
1 ml of nail polish contains 50 mg of amorolfine in the form of hydrochloride.
Action:
Antifungal medicine for topical use. A derivative of morpholine with a broad spectrum of antifungal activity. Amorolfine interferes with the biosynthesis of ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane and thus has a fungistatic and fungicidal effect. Strongly works on: yeasts (Candida, Malassezia orpityrosporum, Cryptococcus), dermatophytes (Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton), molds (Alternaria, Hendersonula, Scopulariopsis), Dematiacea - colored filamentous fungi (Cladosporium, Fonsecaea, Wangiella), dimorphic mushrooms (Coccidioides, Histoplasma, Sporothrix). ExceptActinomycesbacteria are not sensitive to amorolfine hydrochloride. The bacteria exhibit minimal sensitivityPropionibacterium acnes. After applying the nail polish to the nail plate, the active substance penetrates the nail plate and penetrates through it. The absorption of the drug into the body during such administration is very small. No accumulation of the drug in the body after long-term treatment.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Precautions:
There is no clinical experience regarding the use of the drug in patients with inflammatory changes around the nail, diabetes, circulatory disorders, malnourished, alcohol abusing as well as in children and infants. Avoid lacquer contact with eyes, ears and mucous membranes. Avoid painting nails and applying artificial nails during treatment.
Pregnancy and lactation:
The preparation can be used during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
Side effects:
Mild, transient burning around the nail, as well as pruritus, erythema and blisters have been observed very rarely. Rare cases of changes in the nails have been reported (eg color change, fragility or brittleness of the nails) - reactions of this kind may also be associated with the nail fungus itself.
Dosage:
Nail polish should be applied once or twice a week on pathologically changed fingernails or nails. Time of treatment: 6 months (in the case of hand nails) and 9-12 months (in the case of foot nails). It is recommended to evaluate the treatment at intervals of approx. 3 months. Before the first application of the lacquer, it is necessary to file as much of the affected nail surface as possible. Before reuse, if necessary, please re-file your nails, eg if they become thicker (the package contains a set of files for single use). To clean the surface of the nail, use one of the alcohol swabs attached to the package. The varnish should be applied evenly over the entire surface of the affected nail using one of the included reusable spatulas. The treated nails should be allowed to dry for 5 minutes. Treatment should be continued without interruption until the nail regenerates and the affected areas are completely cured.
