1 g of the nail polish contains 80 mg of ciclopirox.
Action:
Antifungal medicine for topical use. Used in the form of nail polish, it penetrates through the nail plate. Within 24-48 h in the tissues of the deeper layers of the nail, it reaches a concentration of 2 to 10 times higher than the minimum concentration inhibiting the growth of fungi causing nail mycosis.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to ciclopirox or any of the excipients. Children under 6 years old. Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Precautions:
Avoid contact of the preparation with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not apply cosmetic lacquer or other cosmetic nail products on the treated nails.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Due to the lack of clinical experience, the preparation should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Side effects:
Rare: allergic contact dermatitis. Very rare: redness and flaking at the place of contact of the preparation with the skin surrounding the nail.
Dosage:
Outwardly. Adults. A thin layer of varnish should be applied to the affected nail plate (after previous removal of lesions on the nail): in the first month of treatment - every other day; in the second month of treatment - at least twice a week; from the 3rd month of treatment - once a week. During the entire treatment period, once a week remove the layer of varnish using alcohol swabs, while removing as much as possible of the affected area of the nail. The duration of treatment should not be longer than 6 months.
