Fungal infections of the skin caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, molds and other fungal species: foot fungus, athlete's hand, tinea, mycosis, groin dermatitis, dandruff. Candidiasis of the skin and mucous membranes of the external genital organs (Candida vulvitis and balanitis).
Composition:
1 g of cream contains 10 mg of clotrimazole. The preparation contains cetostearyl alcohol.
Action:
An imidazole derivative with a wide range of antifungal activity. It inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol necessary for the formation of the fungal cell membrane, which leads to impaired permeability and, as a result, cell lysis. In small concentrations, it works fungistically and in fungicidal fungi.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Clotrimazole or other components of the preparation. Do not use vaginally.
Precautions:
Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth. Due to the cetostearyl alcohol content, the preparation may cause a local skin reaction (eg contact dermatitis).
Pregnancy and lactation:
The drug can be used during pregnancy only in extreme necessity. During treatment of labia infections, vaginal infusion should not be used. During breast-feeding, the drug can only be used in justified cases under the supervision of a physician.
Side effects:
Skin reactions (erythema, redness, burning skin, urticaria, pustules, exfoliation, irritation) can rarely occur. In addition: systemic allergic reactions, pain and pruritus and rash.
Dosage:
Locally: 2-3 times a day, apply a thin layer of cream to the affected skin and rub it gently. After resolution of acute symptoms, the medicine should be used for at least a month.
