Fungal infections of the skin caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, dandruff dandruff, mycosis of the nails.
Composition:
1 ml of fluid contains 10 mg of clotrimazole.
Action:
An imidazole derivative for topical use, an antifungal drug with a wide range of activity. It inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol necessary for building the fungal cell membrane, leading to impaired cell permeability and lysis, and inhibits the synthesis of nucleic acids and polysaccharides. Clotrimazole works fungistically on dermatophytes (typesEpidermophyton spp., Trichophyton spp., Microsporum spp.), yeasts (Candida spp., Malassezia furfur andCryptococcus neoformans), Aspergillus spp., mold and dimorphic fungi. It is practically not absorbed through the skin but penetrates into the stratum corneum. Slightly absorbed from mucous membranes (3%). The absorbed drug is metabolized in the liver and excreted by the kidneys. T0,5 is 3-5 hours.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or other component of the preparation. Do not use under an occlusive dressing, in the eye area or orally.
Precautions:
Avoid contact of the preparation with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not scratch itchy spots on the skin.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Do not use in the first trimester of pregnancy. Use cautiously in the second and third trimester of pregnancy and in breast-feeding women.
Side effects:
There are rare allergic reactions, including topical reactions (eg burning, pruritus, prickling, transient irritation). Very rare generalized erythema, rash, swelling, urticaria, exfoliation and cracking of the epidermis.
Dosage:
Locally on the skin. A few drops of the liquid are rubbed gently 2-3 times a day in the diseased skin. After resolution of acute symptoms, treatment is continued for at least 4 weeks until complete cure (in onychomycosis for 2 weeks after symptoms have subsided). In children up to 11 years of age, the preparation should be used only on the order of a physician.
