Fungal infections of the skin caused by dermatophytes (including genusTrichophyton), yeasts, mold fungi, including foot and hand fungus, dandruff versicolor. Candidiasis of the skin and mucous membranes of the external genital organs (Candida vulvitis, Candida balanitis).
Composition:
1 g of cream contains 10 mg of clotrimazole.
Action:
An imidazole derivative with a wide range of antifungal activity. It inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol and other sterols necessary for building the fungal cell wall, which leads to impaired permeability. In addition, it disturbs the synthesis of triglycerides, phospholipids, changes the activity of oxidases and dehydrogenases leading to the destruction of intracellular organelles.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Clotrimazole, cetylstearyl alcohol or other components of the preparation. Do not use vaginally.
Precautions:
Avoid contact with the eyes. Due to the cetostearyl alcohol content, the drug may cause a local skin reaction (eg contact dermatitis).
Pregnancy and lactation:
The preparation can be used during pregnancy only when it is necessary. It should not be used on the breast of a breast-feeding woman.
Side effects:
Skin reactions (redness, burning skin, irritation) may rarely occur. In addition, systemic allergic reactions, pain, pruritus and rash may occur.
Dosage:
Locally. Apply 2-3 times a day, applying a thin layer of the preparation on the affected areas. After resolution of acute symptoms, the treatment should last at least one month.
