Topical treatment of tinea mycosis of the trunk, hands and feet caused by the following dermatophytes:Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Microsporum canis, Epidermophyton floccosumas well as yeast infections of the skin and dandruff versicolor (Pityrias versicolor). Treatment of seborrheic dermatitis associated with presencePityrosporum ovale.
Composition:
1 g of cream contains 20 mg of ketoconazole.
Action:
An imidazole derivative, an antifungal drug in the form of a topical formulation. It works on dermatophytes, such as:Trichophyton spp.Epidermophyton floccosum andMicrosporum spp. and yeast, including:Malassezia spp. The use of the preparation in the cream causes very rapid relief of itching. No plasma ketoconazole was detected in adults after topical administration.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to ketoconazole or to any of the excipients.
Precautions:
In the case of prior local treatment with corticosteroids, in order to avoid worsening symptoms after stopping their use, it is recommended to continue the local use of poorly acting corticosteroid in the morning, and evening cream and gradual (within 2-3 weeks) withdrawal from corticosteroid therapy. Due to the content of propylene glycol, the preparation may cause skin irritation. Due to the content of stearic alcohol and cetyl alcohol, the preparation may cause a local skin reaction (eg contact dermatitis).
Pregnancy and lactation:
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the cream can be used in extreme necessity.
Side effects:
There may be erythema and pruritus at the injection site, burning sensation of the skin. Less frequently observed: bleeding, discomfort, dry skin, inflammation, irritation, parasthesia at the injection site; hypersensitivity; bullous lesions, contact dermatitis, rash, peeling skin, skin viscosity. Urticaria may occur very rarely.
Dosage:
Outwardly. In the yeast infections of the skin, onychomycosis of the torso, groin, ringworm of the hands and feet, dandruff dandruff: the affected lesion and the skin immediately adhering to it should be covered with cream once a day. In seborrheic dermatitis - depending on the severity of the symptoms - the cream is used once or twice a day for 2-4 weeks, and then maintains a maintenance treatment using the preparation 1-2 times a week. Duration of treatment: dandruff dandruff and yeast infections 2-3 weeks; itch mycosis 2-4 weeks; athlete's torso 3-4 weeks; athlete's foot 4-6 weeks
