Composition:
1 g of the solution contains 10 mg of Terbinafine hydrochloride hydrochloride; the solution contains propylene glycol.
Action:
Antifungal medicine for topical use. Terbinafine is an allylamine with a wide range of antifungal activity, for use in fungal skin infections. It is fungicidal on dermatophytes, molds and some dimorphic fungi. When applied topically, it has a fungicidal effect on dermatophytes of the genusTrichophyton (Eg.T. rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, T. verrucosum, T. violaceum), Microsporum canis andEpidermophyton floccosum (e.g., athlete's foot, skin fold, mycosis of the smooth skin). Yeast (Pityrosporum orbiculare orMalassezia furfur) depending on the species, fungicidal or fungistatic. Less than 5% of the dose is absorbed after topical administration - the systemic effect of terbinafine is low.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to terbinafine or to any of the excipients.
Precautions:
The product is intended for use on the skin only. It should be used with caution in places that are sensitive to alcohol as they may be irritated by alcohol. Protect eyes from contact with the preparation. The drug should not be used on the face. In the event of accidental inhalation with the preparation if any disturbing symptoms occur, please contact your doctor. Due to the content of propylene glycol, the preparation may cause skin irritation. It is not recommended for use in children, due to the lack of data on use in this group of patients.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Animal studies have shown no adverse effects on the fetus, however, due to lack of testing in pregnant women, the drug should not be used during pregnancy. Terbinafine is excreted in breast milk, therefore the drug should not be used during breast-feeding. Infants and young children should not have access to treated mother's skin, including breasts.
Side effects:
The following may occur: redness of the skin, itching or burning in the areas covered by the medicine. Hypersensitivity reactions such as pruritus, rash, vesiculosum and urticaria rarely occur (in which case the use of the preparation should be discontinued).
Dosage:
Externally (on the skin). Before applying the drug, thoroughly clean and dry the skin surface; Spray a small amount of liquid on the affected lesions on and around the skin so that they cover them completely.Adults: foot fungus, skin folds, smooth skin - once a day for 7 days; dandruff versa - twice daily for 7 days. The improvement of clinical symptoms is usually achieved after a few days. Irregular use or premature discontinuation of treatment may result in relapse.
