Composition:
1 g of fluid contains 40 mg of Erythromycin and 0.25 mg of tretinoin.
Action:
Anti-acne agent for topical application to the skin containing antibiotic in combination with tretinoin. Erythromycin is an antibiotic from the macrolide group, it works on Gram-positive bacteria and some Gram-negative bacteria, including bacteriaPropionibacterium acnesthat play an important role in the pathogenesis of acne. Tretynoin belongs to the retinoid group, promotes skin exfoliation, acts by stimulating the proliferation of keratinocytes in the skin, removes blackheads and reduces the size of sebaceous glands. Topically applied erythromycin absorbs in the body in small amounts, tretinoin is absorbed in 0.5-24%, then it is rapidly metabolized and excreted in the urine and faeces, it does not accumulate in the liver.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Erythromycin, tretinoin or to any of the excipients. acute eczema. Rosacea. Acute inflammation of the skin, especially around the mouth (peridark dermatitis). And trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions:
In the initial period of treatment, acne lesions may intensify with the severity of inflammatory reactions - these symptoms are usually transient, this is not a reason to discontinue treatment, but the frequency of application may be reduced periodically. Hypersensitivity reactions to light may occur during therapy. Skin irritation occurring during application may be exacerbated by UV radiation (sunlight, quartz lamps, tanning beds), X-rays or baths in salt or chlorinated water (this applies especially to people long exposed to sunlight and especially sensitive to solar radiation ). Before beginning therapy, all sunburns should be cured. Avoid contact with the eyes and do not use the preparation on the lips and nostrils.
Pregnancy and lactation:
It should not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy, avoid use during the remainder of pregnancy and women who are planning to become pregnant. Exercise caution when necessary during breast-feeding. During breastfeeding, do not apply to the skin of the breast to avoid direct contact with the skin of the newborn baby.
Side effects:
Rare: reduction of skin pigmentation, skin irritation in the form of redness, burning, dryness and exfoliation. Very rare: hypersensitivity reactions (allergic contact dermatitis). In the initial period of treatment, acne lesions may intensify with the severity of the inflammatory reaction.
Dosage:
Outwardly. Adults: apply 1-2 times daily to the affected skin after cleansing the skin. Apply liquid directly to the skin using the included applicator. The duration of treatment depends on the general condition of the skin, but must not exceed 12 weeks.
