Action:
Anti-acne preparation for topical use. Benzoyl peroxide inhibits the growth of anaerobic bacteriaPropionibacterium acnes, which is one of the causes of acne vulgaris. It also has a keratolytic effect, it reduces the number of comedones. It penetrates into the skin, where it is metabolized to benzoic acid. Approx. 5% benzoic acid is absorbed systemically and is excreted unchanged in the urine.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to benzoyl peroxide or other components of the preparation. Eczema (eczema). Chronic dermatitis. Skin burns, also caused by excessive exposure to the sun.
Precautions:
Do not use in children <12 years old or irritated skin and open wounds. Use with caution on sensitive skin (eg on the neck or on other sensitive areas). Avoid contact of eyes, lips and mucous membranes with the preparation. Avoid exposure to UV radiation (quartz lamps, solariums) and the sun during treatment.
Pregnancy and lactation:
During pregnancy, use only if the anticipated benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the fetus. Take special care when breastfeeding. Do not use on the mammary gland area when breastfeeding.
Side effects:
During the first week of treatment, you may notice excessive drying or excessive flaking of the skin, redness of the skin, a feeling of warmth or a slight stinging at the application site. These symptoms are not indications for discontinuation of the drug. If they occur, reduce the frequency of use. In the event of the following symptoms: allergic contact inflammation or painful skin irritation, burning of the skin, skin rash, discontinue use.
Dosage:
Outwardly. Adults and children> 12 years: after washing and drying the skin, apply a small amount of gel to the affected areas and gently rub; used once or twice a day.
