The preparation is traditionally used in digestive disorders caused by bile secretion disorders (flatulence, fullness, reflection), in slight systolic gastrointestinal complaints; to regulate the frequency of bowel movements (in occasional constipations associated with diet change, whereabouts).
Composition:
1 tabl contains 15 mg of dry extract from alona (corresponding to 3,150-3,745 mg of hydroxyanthraquinones expressed as aloin), 10 mg of dry extract from herbal shrink (DER 4-6: 1) and 1 mg of boldin. The product contains sucrose.
Action:
The effectiveness of the preparation is based only on long-term use and experience. Extract from boldo leaves has a stimulating effect on bile secretion (due to the presence of flavonoids) and choleretic action (associated with the presence of a boldine alkaloid), as well as increases the production of urine. It was also found that boldine reduces intestinal smooth muscle tone, which causes slowing of peristaltis and relaxation in the event of spastic bowel disease. The laxative effect of aloe vera is mainly related to the 1,8-dihydroxyanthracene glycosides contained in it - aloin and aloinosides. Honey herb is used in diseases that occur with discomfort due to contraction in the gall bladder, bile ducts and digestive tract.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Peptic ulcer of the stomach and / or duodenum. Obstruction of the bile ducts. Hepatic failure, jaundice. acute inflammation of the bile ducts, kidneys and intestines. Menstruation. Pregnancy and lactation. Abdominal pain of unknown origin. Strong dehydration with electrolyte deficiency. Children and youth up to 18 years old.
Precautions:
In patients with kidney stones and cholelithiasis, patients receiving cardiac glycosides, antiarrhythmics, drugs that prolong QT interval, diuretics, adrenocorticoids or Licorice root - the preparation should only be used after consulting a doctor. The drug should not be used in patients who have fecal diarrhea and undiagnosed, acute or persistent gastrointestinal discomfort (eg abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting), because these symptoms may be a sign of a potential or existing bowel obstruction, unless it is prescribed by a doctor. The chronic use of laxatives should be avoided, whereas if there is a need for their daily use, the cause of constipation should be diagnosed. The use of chronic laxatives may lead to intestinal dysfunction and addiction. Preparations containing aloe should be used only if the therapeutic effect is not achieved by changing the diet or water-removing preparations. In people with lack of control of physiological functions, diapers should be changed more often to avoid long-term contact of the skin with faeces. Patients with impaired renal function should be aware of the risk of electrolyte disturbances. Due to the sucrose content, patients with rare inherited disorders associated with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency should not take the preparation.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended (no studies on safety of use).
Side effects:
The following may occur: hypersensitivity reactions, spastic gastrointestinal pain, colonic melanosis, electrolyte imbalance, proteinuria, hematuria, yellow or red-brown (pH-dependent) urine coloration by aleos metabolites.
Dosage:
Orally. Adults and adolescents from 18 years. Digestive disorders and slight spasms gastrointestinal complaints: 1-2 tabl. daily before meals (up to 4 times a day). Occasional constipation: 3-5 tabl. once a day before bedtime (it is enough to take the drug 2-3 times a week). Do not take more than 8 tables. daily.
