Bladder inflammation, pyelonephritis, pelvic inflammation, inflammation of the gall bladder and biliary tract, diarrhea, and bowel catarrh.
Composition:
1 tabl contains 300 mg of methenamine and 300 mg of phenyl salicylate. The product contains lactose and sucrose.
Action:
The drug has an antibacterial effect in the gut, bile and urinary tracts due to combined action of metenamine and phenyl salicylate. Following oral administration, phenyl salicylate undergoes hydrolysis in the intestines to phenol (antimicrobial) and salicylic acid (anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic). Metonymy has antimicrobial activity mainly in the urinary and biliary routes. Antimicrobial action in the urinary tract depends on the degree of hydrolysis with the formation of formaldehyde in the urine. The combination of methenamine and phenyl salicylate in one preparation allows comprehensive treatment and prevention of urinary and biliary tract infections by affecting the cause of the disease and the symptoms of infection.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to salicylates and phenol. Renal failure. Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum. Hemorrhagic diathesis. Severe disease failure. Substantial metabolic acidosis. Dehydration.
Precautions:
In the case of bronchial asthma, do not use without consulting a doctor. It should not be used in patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose and fructose intolerance, lactase deficiency (Lappa type) or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency, or malabsorption of glucose-galactose.
