Symptomatic treatment of inflammation of the throat and mouth.
Composition:
1 hardcap contains 1.2 mg of 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol and 0.6 mg of amylmetacresol. Juveniles include maltitol and isomalt; orange pills with vitamin C contain Glucose, sucrose, sunset yellow and cochineal red; strawberry-free sugar tablets contain maltitol, isomalt and cochineal red; pastilles with menthol and eucalyptus contain Glucose and sucrose; lozenges with honey and lemon contain glucose, sucrose and honey.
Action:
Lozenges with antiseptic effect, topical antibacterial and soothing inflammation of the mouth and throat. Menthol irritates the endings of the sensory fibers and causes a feeling of coolness on the mucous membranes, as a result of which the discomfort associated with a blocked nose is reduced. The addition of vitamin C supplements the deficiencies occurring during the infection.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Children under 6 years old.
Precautions:
If symptoms persist, other treatment should be used. Strawberry-free sugar pills can be used in patients with diabetes and people who control the daily intake of carbohydrates; other flavors of pastilles - the sugar content should be taken into account when used in patients with diabetes. Junior pills contain maltitol and isomalt - the drug should not be used in patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance. Orange pills with vitamin C contain glucose (1g) and sucrose (1.4g) - the drug should not be used in patients with rare inherited disorders associated with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency; in addition, the pellets contain sunset yellow and cochineal red which may cause allergic reactions. Pregnancy and lactation:
Caution should be exercised during pregnancy and during breastfeeding (no safety identified).
Side effects:
Hypersensitivity reactions and tongue soreness may occur.
Dosage:
Orally. Adults and children over 6 years: 1 lozenge slowly every 2-3 h. Juvenile tablets: do not use a dose of more than 8 pellets a day.
