indications:
Acute inflammation of the nasal mucosa. Exacerbation of chronic rhinitis in the course of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis or cold.
Composition:
1 ml of nasal drops contains 5 mg of antazoline sulphate and 0.25 mg of naphazoline nitrate.
Action:
Combined preparation containing the antihistamine substance and α-adrenomimetic. The drug inhibits allergic symptoms such as enlargement and increase of vascular permeability and locally shrinks the dilated blood vessels and eliminates symptoms associated with inflammation of the nasal mucosa.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Glaucoma with a narrow angle. Hypersensitivity to adrenomimetic agents.
Precautions:
Caution should be exercised and the recommended dosage should not be exceeded in the case of concomitant cardiovascular disease, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, prostatic hypertrophy and the elderly.
Pregnancy and lactation:
It can only be used during pregnancy if the benefits to the mother outweigh the potential risk to the fetus. There are no data on the penetration of the active ingredients of the preparation into human milk. During feeding, the use of the drug requires caution.
Side effects:
Very rare: drowsiness, headache and dizziness, anxiety, increased blood pressure, arrhythmias, weakness, excessive sweating, hyperglycemia, nausea.
Dosage:
Adults and children over 6 years of age: usually 1-3 drops in each nostril no more than every 4-6 h. Do not use for more than 3-5 days.
