Symptomatic treatment of rhinosinusitis and sinusitis in adults and children over 12 years in the course of colds, flu, allergic rhinitis.
Composition:
1 tabl powl. contains 60 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. The preparation contains lactose.
Action:
The preparation reduces congestion of the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract. It reduces swelling and the amount of secretion. Pseudoephedrine has direct and indirect effects on the sympathetic system. In comparison with ephedrine, it is characterized by a much lower ability to induce tachycardia and increase systolic blood pressure, and clearly less stimulates o.u.n. After oral administration, it quickly and completely absorbs from the gastrointestinal tract. T0,5 It is about 5.5 hours and it is prolonged in patients with alkaline urine and shortened in the case of acidic urine.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to pseudoephedrine or other ingredients of the preparation. Severe hypertension or severe coronary heart disease. Concomitant use or application of MAO inhibitors for the last 14 days. Co-administration of furazolidone.
Precautions:
Caution should be exercised in patients with mild to moderate hypertension, heart disease, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, increased intraocular pressure, enlarged prostate gland, and in patients with severe hepatic impairment or moderate and severe renal impairment, particularly in patients with concurrent systemic disease cardiovascular. Due to the lactose content, the preparation should not be used in patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or malabsorption of glucose-galactose.
Pregnancy and lactation:
It can only be used during pregnancy if the benefits to the mother outweigh the risks to the fetus (no specific data). Pseudoephedrine is excreted in small amounts but the effect on the infant is not known - it is not recommended during breastfeeding.
Side effects:
