The drug is traditionally used, assisting in the initial period of impaired cardiac performance, not requiring the use of other drugs, without symptoms of circulatory stasis and in the weakening of the myocardium in the elderly.
Composition:
1 tabl the sage contains 15.7 mg of dry extract (10-11: 1) from the lily of the valley; Table. contain sucrose and lactose.
Action:
The effectiveness of the drug in the mentioned indications is based only on long-term use and experience. The drug contains cardenolide glycosides of the lily of the valley, which strengthen the strength of myocardial contraction (inotropically positive action). The effect is similar to the effect of strophantin, but much weaker. In addition, the drug works poorly diuretic. Cardenolids of the herb lily of the valley quickly, though to a small extent (about 10%), are absorbed in the small intestine. They bind to a very small extent to plasma albumin fraction (about 16%), hence the therapeutic effect is rapid, but it is short-lived. They do not accumulate in the body.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Hypokalemia. Hypercalcemia. Cardiac conduction disorders (eg ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, atrioventricular block).
Precautions:
In case of worsening symptoms associated with heart failure or if symptoms of severe heart failure occur, stronger cardiac drugs should be used. Due to the sucrose content, do not use the preparation in patients with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency. Due to the lactose content, do not use the preparation in patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or malabsorption of glucose-galactose.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Do not use during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Side effects:
Dosage:
Orally. Adults and adolescents> 12 years: 1-2 tabl. 3 times a day, 15 minutes before a meal. In combination treatment with strophantin, the preparation can be administered at intervals of 9 h before and 8 h after injection of strophantin.
