Inflammation of the upper respiratory tract, cough.
Composition:
5 ml of syrup contains 52 mg of sulfoguaquol. The product contains sucrose (in the form of pine herbal honey).
Action:
Sulfogwajacol is slowly disintegrating in the gut to free guaiacol. Guaiacol is absorbed into the blood, excreted through the airways and irritates the bronchial mucosa, causing an expectorant reflex. It reduces the viscosity of bronchial secretions, which loses unpleasant taste and smell. It also works poorly disinfecting.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Avoid use in people with active peptic ulcer disease - the drug may exacerbate ailments. Do not use in children under the age of 6 years.
Precautions:
The syrup contains pineapple honey. It should not be used in people who are allergic to bee products. If you have an intolerance to some sugars, consult your doctor before taking the medicine. Patients with rare hereditary problems associated with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrose-isomaltase deficiency should not take the medicine. Patients who have observed disturbing symptoms after application (eg laxative effects) should discontinue the medicine and contact a physician.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Due to the undetected risk of toxic effects, the drug can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding only if the benefits outweigh the risks.
Side effects:
Occasionally, cases of laxative action. There is a possibility of hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.
Dosage:
Orally. Children over 6 years: 5 ml (1 teaspoon) 3-4 times a day. Older children and adolescents: 10 ml (2 teaspoons) 3-4 times a day. Adults: 10 ml (1 tablespoon) 3-4 times a day.
