The preparation is used traditionally as an auxiliary agent in irritated throat, dry and tiring cough, and helpfully in upper respiratory tract infections, i.e. inflammation of the mouth, throat and cold.
Composition:
100 g of syrup contains 10 g of onion sauce, 2 g of garlic extract. 1 ml of the preparation has bacteriostatic activity not less than 20 I.U. The product contains sucrose and ethanol 5-7%.
Action:
The effectiveness of the preparation is based only on long-term use and experience. The syrup has a protective effect on the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat. It also shows very weak bacteriostatic activity in relation to Gram-positive bacteria (at 20 I.U./ml level).
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.
Precautions:
It should not be used in children under the age of 6 years. Due to its sucrose content (5 ml of syrup contains 3.6 g of sucrose, 10 ml of syrup contains 7.3 g of sucrose), patients with rare hereditary disorders related to fructose intolerance, Glucose malabsorption, galactose malabsorption or sucrase deficiency, isomaltase should not take the preparation. Consider sucrose content in patients with diabetes. The drug contains about 5-7% (v / v) ethanol, i.e. 0.35 ml per dose of 5 ml, which is equivalent to 7 ml of beer or 2.6 ml of wine per dose; up to 0.7 ml per 10 ml dose, which is equivalent to 14 ml of beer or 5.8 ml of wine per dose; harmful for people with alcoholism. It should be taken into account when using pregnant or breast-feeding women, children and people at high risk, such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy.
Pregnancy and lactation:
