indications:
For the treatment of cough occurring in colds, inflammations of the throat and bronchi.
Composition:
5 ml syrup contains 100 mg guaifenesine and 10 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide.
Action:
The product contains dextromethorphan, which has antitussive activity and extrinsically acting guaifenesin. Dextromethorphan inhibits dry, non-productive cough. Guaifenesin facilitates the expectoration of bronchial secretions. The product reduces irritation of the airways caused by excessive coughing.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Bronchial asthma. Treatment with MAO inhibitors. The preparation should not be used in chronic conditions (in bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary emphysema). Use with caution in kidney and liver diseases. During pregnancy, use only if the anticipated benefits to the mother outweigh the potential risk to the fetus. It should not be used during breast-feeding.

Side effects:
They occur sporadically. Fatigue, drowsiness, pain and dizziness, gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain), skin hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash, urticaria) may occur.
Dosage:
Orally. Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml of syrup every 4-6 h (maximum daily dose is 60 ml syrup). Children 6-12 years: 5 ml of syrup every 4-6 h (maximum daily dose is 30 ml syrup). During the use of the preparation should be taken an increased amount of fluids.
