Traditionally, as an expectorant drug in cough accompanying catarrh of the upper respiratory tract.
Composition:
The syrup contains: 15 g of liquid extract from herb thyme and 0.01 g of thymol. The drug contains sucrose and ethanol.
Action:
An expectorant preparation.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to thyme, other plants from the family Jasnotowatych (Lamiaceae / Labiatae) or other ingredients of the preparation. Do not use in asthma and in children with acute history of larynx and trachea.
Precautions:
10 ml of syrup contains up to 0.64 g of ethanol, therefore it should not be used in patients with alcoholism, liver disease or epilepsy. Due to the lack of data, it is not recommended to use syrup in children <6 years. Due to the sucrose content, syrup should not be used in patients with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Do not use during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Side effects:
Hypersensitivity reactions and mild gastrointestinal symptoms may occur.
Dosage:
Orally. Adults and children> 12 years: 10 ml of syrup 3 times a day; children 6-12 years: 5 ml 3 times a day.
