Conditions of difficult expectoration occurring in benign inflammatory conditions of the respiratory system (eg in colds).
Composition:
The preparation contains sulphoquaicol. The product contains sucrose and ethanol.
Action:
An expectorant, which involves reflexively increasing the secretion of bronchial mucus and stimulating cough reflex.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Peptic ulcer or inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. Children under 6 years.
Precautions:
Special care should be taken in patients with liver disease, alcoholism, epilepsy, diabetes and bronchial asthma. The drug contains ethanol - about 8.8% v / v, i.e. about 350 mg per 5 ml of syrup. The drug contains sucrose - people with inherited disorders associated with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency should not use the preparation.
Pregnancy and lactation:
It is not recommended during pregnancy and during breastfeeding (no data available).
Side effects:
Rarely, gastrointestinal disorders may occur: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, irritation of the gastrointestinal tract, drowsiness, headaches and in rare cases skin rash.
Dosage:
Orally. Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 10 ml 3 times a day. Children 6-12 years: 5 ml 3 times a day. The drug should be taken after a meal, not taken immediately before bedtime. If you miss a dose, do not take a double dose.
