Scars limiting movement, enlarged (hypertrophic, swollen, cheloid shape) and unsightly postoperative scars, after amputations, post-burn scars and post-burn scars, contractures, e.g. fingers (Dupuytren's contracture), as well as tendon contractures caused by injuries and scar shrinkage. There are no data on use in children.
Composition:
1 g of gel contains 50 IU. Sodium Heparin, 100 mg liquid onion extract and 10 mg allantoin.
Action:
The preparation has anti-proliferative, anti-inflammatory, smoothing and loosening scar tissue; inhibits fibroblast proliferation and pathological increase of collagen synthesis. Counteracts the unphysiological formation of the scar.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Do not use on untreated wounds, scars covering large areas of the skin, damaged skin, mucous membranes.
Precautions:
Be careful with children. Use after complete wound healing. When treating fresh scars, physical stimuli such as low temperatures, UV radiation, excessive rubbing, mechanical irritation should be avoided. The best result is obtained by applying the gel as soon as possible after the wound heals. If signs of hypersensitivity are observed, the preparation should be discontinued. When treating large areas of the skin, symptoms associated with the systemic effects of Heparin may occur. Due to the content of p-hydroxybenzoate, the preparation may cause allergic reactions (possible late-type reactions).
Pregnancy and lactation:
There are no data on the use of the preparation during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Side effects:
Local skin irritation rarely occurs.
Dosage:
Several times a day gently rub the gel into the skin or scar tissue until it is completely absorbed. You can put on a gel dressing for the hardened and old scars. Depending on the size of the scar or the presence of contracture, the treatment lasts from a few weeks to several months.
