Composition:
1 tabl powl. contains 10 mg of famotidine.
Action:
A competitive antagonist of the histamine H receptor2. After a dose of 20 mg, it inhibits nocturnal secretion of up to 90% o. It inhibits the basic and stimulated secretion of hydrochloric acid and pepsin. Hypergastrinemia which develops after prolonged use of Famotidine disappears after its discontinuation. Famotidine is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, reaching a maximum concentration in the blood within 2-3 hours. In 15-20% it is associated with proteins. The bioavailability of the drug after oral administration is 40-45%. Food and antacids do not affect the absorption of the drug. T0,5 in the blood is about 3 h, in patients with creatinine clearance below 10 ml / min can be extended up to 20 h. Famotidine is excreted in the urine in an unmetabolized form. It penetrates into breast milk.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to famotidine or other components of the preparation. Hypersensitivity to other drugs from the group of H receptor antagonists2 in the interview. Do not use in children under the age of 16 years.
Precautions:

Pregnancy and lactation:

Side effects:

Dosage:
Orally. Adults and children over the age of 16: 1 tabl. (10 mg) once a day if you get symptoms of heartburn or indigestion.
