the product in the database has an inactive status
indications:
Symptoms of regressing gastric contents into the esophagus. Symptomatic treatment of esophageal burning problems (heartburn).
Composition:
One capsule contains 10 mg of omeprazole. The product contains sucrose.
Action:
Proton pump inhibitor (H+/ K+ATP-ases) in the parietal cells of the stomach. The effect of the drug depends on the dose and leads to the inhibition of the secretion of both the basic and stimulated hydrochloric acid, regardless of the type of stimulus. The dose, once a day, reversibly inhibits the secretion of hydrochloric acid. Reducing the secretion of hydrochloric acid in the stomach leads to pain relief and accelerates the healing of mucosal damage. Omeprazole binds approximately 95% of plasma proteins. It is metabolized mainly in the liver by the CYP2C19 enzyme. The bioavailability of a single dose is about 35%, after repeated administration increases to about 65%. Almost 80% of the dose is excreted in the urine, the remaining part in the bile. T0,5 is up to 1 hour.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Pregnancy and breastfeeding. Concomitant use with atazanavir.
Precautions:
Due to the sucrose content of the preparation should not be used in patients with fructose intolerance, malabsorption of glucose-galactose and sucrase-isomaltase deficiency.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Due to the lack of sufficient data, omeprazole is not recommended for pregnant women and during breastfeeding.
Side effects:
Common: headache, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, bloating. Rare: rash, pruritus, urticaria, dizziness, paresthesia, drowsiness, balance disorders, increased liver enzymes, feeling unwell. In individual cases: hypersensitivity to light, erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, hair loss, muscle and joint pain, muscle weakness, fungal gastrointestinal infection, dry and oral mucositis, hepatitis with jaundice or without, hepatic failure, patients with pre-existing severe hepatic impairment may experience encephalopathy, gynecomastia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, agranulocytosis, pancytopenia, blurred vision, hypersensitivity reactions (including angioneurotic edema), fever, bronchospasm, interstitial nephritis, shock anaphylactic, increased sweating, peripheral edema, dysgeusia, hyponatremia, impotence. In severely ill patients, in individual cases, transient confusion, agitation, aggression, depression, hallucinations have occurred.
Dosage:
Oral: 10 mg-20 mg once daily for 2 weeks. If the symptoms are not relieved after 2 weeks or after the treatment is completed, a quick relapse will need further diagnostic testing. In patients with hepatic impairment, lower doses should be considered. No dose adjustment is required in patients with impaired renal function and in elderly patients. Capsules should be taken in the morning, without chewing completely, with liquid. Do not chew or crush capsules. If you have difficulty swallowing, the capsule can be opened and its contents swallowed; you can also mix the contents of the capsule with water or slightly acidic liquid, eg juice, yogurt and drink immediately.
