Treatment of gastrointestinal reflux symptoms such as belching, heartburn and indigestion (associated with reflux), e.g. after meals or during pregnancy, or in patients with symptoms associated with reflux oesophagitis.

Action:
A combined preparation used in gastro-intestinal reflux. The drug reacts immediately with hydrochloric acid in the stomach creating a layer of alginate gel with almost neutral pH, which is maintained on the surface of the stomach contents effectively inhibiting gastro-oesophageal reflux. In severe cases, the drug layer itself can move back into the esophagus instead of the stomach contents. In the esophagus, it exerts a soothing effect. The mechanism of action does not depend on the absorption of the drug into the systemic circulation.

Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.
Precautions:
1 sachet or 1 dose of oral suspension (10 ml) contains 141 mg (6.2 mmol) sodium, 1 dose consisting of 4 tablets. contains 246 mg (10.6 mmol) of sodium, which should be taken into account in patients who require a significant reduction in dietary salt intake (eg in some cases of congestive heart failure and renal failure). 1 sachet or 1 dose of oral suspension (10 ml) contains 160 mg (1.6 mmol) calcium carbonate, 1 dose consisting of 4 tablets. contains 320 mg (3.2 mmol) of calcium carbonate - caution should be exercised in patients with hypercalcaemia, renal calcifica and recurrent nephrolithiasis with stones containing calcium. There is a possibility of reduced effectiveness of treatment in patients with very low secretion of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. It is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. The oral suspension contains methyl and propyl parahydroxybenzoate, which may cause allergic reactions. Table. chewing and chewing contains aspartame - they should not be used in patients with phenylketonuria.
