Adjunctive treatment of gastric hyperacidity symptoms in the course of: gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastritis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer.
Composition:
100 g of the suspension contains 4.5 g of aluminum phosphate. The product contains sucrose.
Action:
Antacid hydrochloric acid, used to treat reflux disease, gastritis and gastric and duodenal ulcer. When used orally, aluminum phosphate reacts with hydrochloric acid in the stomach to form aluminum chloride, which has anti-inflammatory and astringent properties. Aluminum compounds probably also have cytoprotective properties, i.e. protecting against factors damaging gastric mucosa cells.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Chronic renal failure, especially in dialysis patients.
Precautions:
Due to the aluminum content, the preparation should not be used: in children under 6 without a doctor's recommendation, in patients with bone diseases, in patients with impaired renal function, in patients with Alzheimer's disease. In the digestive tract, aluminum forms insoluble compounds with phosphates. Long-term use of the suspension reduces the absorption of phosphorus, which in the case of insufficient supply of phosphorus in food may lead to its deficiency. Do not use long-term. If symptoms persist, the diagnosis should be verified. Due to the sucrose content, patients with rare hereditary disorders associated with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency should not take the preparation. 15 ml of suspension contains 7.350 g of sucrose, this should be taken into consideration in patients with diabetes mellitus.
Pregnancy and lactation:
The product is not recommended for use during pregnancy and in women of childbearing potential not using an effective method of contraception. There is insufficient data on the permeation of aluminum phosphate / metabolites to human milk.
Side effects:
Constipation may occur; increasing the concentration of aluminum, lowering the concentration of phosphates (hypophosphatemia) manifested by: lack of appetite, malaise, muscle weakness, osteomalacia; kidney problems; encephalopathy; hypersensitivity reactions. Elderly people are at risk of developing or worsening Alzheimer's disease symptoms.
Dosage:
Oral: 5-15 ml 3-5 times a day, between meals. At night, it is recommended to take a double dose. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 100 ml. Shake vigorously before use.
