indications:
Relief of symptoms of hyperacidity of gastric juice in the course of heartburn, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease and duodenum.
Composition:
1 tabl for sucking contains 500 mg of hydrotalcite.
Action:
Preparation with antacid. The release of Magnesium and aluminum ions occurs gradually and is proportional to the amount of excreted gastric juice. After neutralization, the active substance is deposited on the gastric mucosa and forms a protective layer, which facilitates healing. Magnesium and aluminum ions can then be precipitated as carbonates and phosphates in the small intestine. The preparation is practically not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Severe renal failure, especially in dialysis patients. Phenylketonuria (content of aspartame).
Precautions:
Use with caution in patients with impaired renal function (regular monitoring of aluminum and magnesium levels in the blood) and in patients with bone disorders and Alzheimer's disease. Long-term use of aluminum compounds in high doses may cause hypophosphatemia.
Pregnancy and lactation:
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the preparation can only be used if clearly necessary.
Side effects:
Large doses of the preparation may cause diarrhea, constipation, nausea and bloating. The use of high doses for more than 2 weeks may cause kidney problems. There may be an increase in the concentration of aluminum in the blood and hypophosphatemia manifested by anorexia, malaise, muscle weakness, osteomalacia.
Dosage:
Orally. Adults and children over 14 years old: 1-2 tabl. Suck 3-4 times a day, 1-2 h after meals and before bedtime. In the case of peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, the treatment should last at least 4 weeks.
