Action:
A preparation with a laxative effect. Paraffin causes softening of hard faeces, facilitating defecation.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Abdominal pain with an undetermined cause. acute inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract, e.g. appendicitis.
Precautions:
Use with caution in patients with chronic inflammation in the abdominal cavity and / or the pelvis, in children and the elderly.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Caution is advised when using the drug in pregnant and breast-feeding women.
Side effects:
Inflammation and proliferation changes. Reducing the sensitivity of the rectal cup. A deficiency of fat-soluble vitamins. Electrolyte disturbances.
Dosage:
Orally, 1-3 tablespoons overnight or in the morning on an empty stomach. Laxative action occurs after a few hours of use. A few hours should be kept between the medicines taken.
