Constipation.
Composition:
One capsule contains 25 mg of dry extract from Senna leaves and 67 mg of dry extract from the buckthorn bark, corresponding to 10 mg of total hydroxyanthracene glycosides calculated as glucofrangulin A.
Action:
The hydroxyanthracene glycosides contained in the leaves and buckthorn cortex and their active reinoanthron metabolites increase colon motility, inhibit the absorption of water, which causes softening of faecal matter and facilitates defecation. Laxative action occurs after 8-12 h from the time of taking the preparation.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation. Intestinal obstruction, acute inflammatory bowel disease, e.g. Crohn's disease, glomerulonephritis, intestinal peptic ulcer disease, appendicitis, abdominal pain with unexplained etiology, inflammatory hemorrhoids. Do not use in children under 12 years of age, pregnant women and during breastfeeding. Do not use immediately after gastrointestinal surgery and during menstrual bleeding.

Side effects:
In individual cases, gastrointestinal problems may occur (the dose should then be reduced). The loss of potassium can lead to heart problems and muscle weakness.
Dosage:
Oral: adults and children over 12 years - 1-2 capsules per night.
