Composition:
1 tabl contains 300 mg of leaves and Senna fruits; contains not less than 6.75 mg of anthranone as calculated by Sennoside B.
Action:
Preparation of natural origin with a laxative effect. The anthranoid glycosides contained in the preparation inhibit the absorption of water, which causes softening of faecal matter and facilitates defecation. The laxative effect occurs 8-12 hours after taking the preparation.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Intestinal obstruction, acute inflammatory bowel disease, appendicitis, hypersensitive bowel syndrome, abdominal pain with unexplained etiology. Menstrual bleeding. Children under 10 years.
Precautions:
Pregnancy and lactation:
Due to the lack of tests, the preparation can be used during pregnancy only if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. Do not use in the first trimester of pregnancy. Small doses of active metabolites may pass into breast milk.
Side effects:
Abdominal pain, diarrhea, hypersensitivity reactions (cramps) may occur.
Dosage:
Orally. Adults: 1 tabl. 3 times a day or 3 tables bedtime. Elderly and children over 10 years: 2 tabl. bedtime. The preparation should drink at least 1/2 glass of water. In the absence of a therapeutic effect, the Next dose can be taken after 12 h. Dosage should start with the lowest recommended dose, which should be increased if necessary to establish an effective dose.
