Composition:
1 ml of solution contains 30 mg of mepivacaine hydrochloride.
Action:

Do not use during pregnancy.
Side effects:
The following toxic effects have been reported as a result of overdose: agitation o.u.n. with the state of excitement, tremor, confusion, dizziness, dilated pupils, accelerated metabolism and increased body temperature; after very large doses: lockjaw and convulsions. In the case of prolonged medication, the cardiovascular, respiratory and emetic medium is stimulated, resulting in sweating, arrhythmias, hypertension, increased breathing, bronchiectasis, nausea and vomiting. Peripheral effects of the drug on the cardiovascular system include bradycardia and dilation of blood vessels. Very rarely, the preparation may cause sensitization in the form of skin lesions, urticaria, edema or anaphylactic shock.
Dosage:
1-2 ml or more, depending on the needs of the surgery, infiltrating or blocking the peripheral nerve. The anesthetic solution should be injected in small doses at a rate of about 1 ml / min after prior aspiration. In a healthy adult who has not received sedation, the maximum dose administered once or in several consecutive injections over a period of no more than 90 minutes is 7 mg mepivacaine hydrochloride / kg body weight, up to a total dose not exceeding 550 mg. The maximum dose is 1000 mg mepivacaine / 24 h. In children, the doses given should be reduced depending on body weight and age.
