For perioral or ductal local anesthesia in dental procedures.
Composition:
1 ml of solution contains 32.01 mg Lidocaine hydrochloride and 80 μg norepinephrine tartrate (1 cartridge of 1.8 ml contains 57.618 mg lidocaine hydrochloride and 144 μg norepinephrine tartrate); the drug contains potassium pyrosulfite.
Action:
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to local anesthetics or to any of the excipients. Severe atrioventricular conduction disorders in the absence of a pacemaker. Seizures refractory to treatment. Severe porphyria paroxysmal.
Precautions:
Pregnancy and lactation:
From data obtained from a large number of applications of the drug during pregnancy, no harmful effects of lidocaine on health and fetal development are evident. Lidocaine can be used in dental procedures during pregnancy if it is absolutely necessary. Like other local anesthetics, lidocaine is excreted in milk in very small amounts, however, after the dental procedure, lactation can only be taken after the anesthetic has been resolved.

Dosage:
AdultsThe size of the dose used depends on the type and duration of the treatment. Routine treatments usually involve 1 to 3 cartridges. During one treatment the equivalent of 300 mg lidocaine hydrochloride should not be exceeded.Children aged> 4 yearsThe amount of dose used depends on the age and weight of the child and on the type of surgery. The average dose used during one treatment is from 20 to 30 mg lidocaine hydrochloride. The maximum dose of lidocaine hydrochloride that can be used in children, expressed in mg, can be calculated by the formula: mc. child (in kg) x 1.33. Do not exceed the equivalent of 2.2 mg lidocaine hydrochloride / kg body weight.Elderly people: the dose should be halved.Way and route of administration: submucosal or tubular injection, submucosal, in the oral cavity. When performing anesthesia (especially in the case of a conduit), it is necessary to ensure, by several aspirations, that the needle has not been introduced into the blood vessel. The injection rate should not exceed 1 ml / min.
