Local relief of pain at teething and eruption of the so-called "teeth of wisdom" in the course of inflammation of the oral mucosa and gums.
Composition:
100 g of gel contain 0.5 g of Lidocaine hydrochloride.
Action:
A preparation with local anesthetic properties. Lidocaine binds reversibly to sodium channels located in the membrane of the nerve cell, causes them to block, which causes the depolarization process and the generation of the action potential to be inhibited. This prevents the spread of electrical impulses necessary in nerve conduction. The onset of action is observed after 1-5 minutes, and the anesthetic effect persists for 15-30 minutes.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to local anesthetics from the amide group or other components of the preparation. Damage to the oral mucosa and gums in the form of trophic changes, swelling or ulceration.
Precautions:
Carefully used in patients after neurological palsies and myocardial insufficiency. Due to the content of propylene glycol, methyl and propyl parahydroxybenzoate, the preparation may cause irritation at the injection site and allergic reactions (possible late-type reactions).
Pregnancy and lactation:
The preparation should be used with caution during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
Side effects:
There may be allergic reactions, ie urticaria, swelling at the injection site. The use of lidocaine in the oral cavity may cause anesthesia of the taste buds and, as a consequence, taste disorders, and may lead to the elimination of the throat reflex (vomiting).
Dosage:
Locally on the oral mucosa. Drop a drop of pea-sized gel into the painful area with your finger or cotton swab. Use temporarily, 3 times a day, up to 6 times a day, especially after meals and at bedtime.
