Transient and minor skin reactions may occur, most often in the form of burning, itching. Pruritus was found in 7% of patients, erythema and rash were noted by 1-2%. Adverse reactions observed in people who frequently use permethrin (eg medical staff) were related to permethrin's action on the nervous system and were usually manifested by parasthesia, excitement, muscle twitching, hyperaesthesia, light itching and burning. These symptoms resolved within 24 hours.
Dosage:
Outwardly. Adults and children over 3 years old: apply shampoo to wet hair and distribute it evenly, with special attention to the area behind the ears and the back of the head. The hair should be massaged until abundant foam is obtained. The resulting foam should be left for 10 minutes, then rinse the hair thoroughly with water and comb it thoroughly with a comb attached to the pack to remove dead lice and their eggs (nits). After 10 days, the treatment should be repeated. If the presence of live lice is found after repeated treatment, it may mean that they are resistant to permethrin.
