In parenteral nutrition as an addition to an amino acid solution or as a component of a nutritional mixture used e.g. in patients in hyperchatabolism or hypermetabolism.
Composition:
100 ml of fluid contains 20 g of N (2) -L-alanyl-L-glutamine. Osmolarity: 921 mOsm / l, pH 5.4-6.0.
Action:
A dipeptide concentrate for solution for infusion, providing glutamine. T0,5 it is 2.4-3.8 min, in severe renal failure 4.2 min.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <25 ml / min) or liver, severe metabolic acidosis.
Precautions:
The safety and efficacy of the preparation in children has not yet been established.
Pregnancy and lactation:
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.
Side effects:
With too rapid infusion, chills, nausea and vomiting may occur (the preparation should be discontinued).
Dosage:
Intravenously (into the central vein or peripheral veins) by drip infusion. The preparation should be administered after dilution with an amino acid solution or a mixture of nutrients in a ratio of 1: 5. Dosage depends on the severity of catabolism and the need for amino acids. Adults: 1.5 -2 ml / kg / day. The maximum dose is 2 ml / kg / day; the maximum concentration of the preparation is 3.5%. The rate of infusion depends on the type of amino acid solution in which the preparation is dissolved and should not exceed 0.1 g amino acids / kg / h. The maximum duration of use is 3 weeks.
