Parenteral supplementation of liquids and electrolytes. Dilution and dissolution of electrolyte concentrates and non-incompatible medications. Volume 1000 ml can be used as rinsing solutions in the surgical procedure or as a solution to check the dialysis apparatus.
Composition:
100 ml of the solution contains 900 mg of sodium chloride. Osmolarity: 308 mOsm / l.
Action:
Isotonic sodium chloride solution. Maintains the normal osmotic pressure of the plasma and extracellular fluid.
Contraindications:
Conduction, hypernatremia, hypokalemia, hyperchloremia, acidosis, heart failure, generalized swelling, pulmonary edema, hypertension, eclampsia, severe renal failure. Newborns should not be given as a supplementary fluid water deficiency (use only for correction of ionic disturbances).
Precautions:
Particularly cautiously used in congestive heart failure, severe renal failure and in swelling caused by sodium retention. Carefully use in patients treated with corticosteroids or corticotropin.
Pregnancy and lactation:
The preparation can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Side effects:
Hypernatremia, hyperchloremia, chairmanship. Excessive supply of the preparation may cause acidosis or hypokalemia. There may be vein irritation and thrombophlebitis at the injection site. Excessive intake of the preparation, especially in patients with cardiovascular disease may cause heart failure and pulmonary edema. In patients with impaired renal function, the preparation may cause sodium retention.
Dosage:
Intravenous drip infusion. Individual dosage depending on age, body weight and clinical condition. In severe sodium deficiency: 2-3 l in 2-3 h, then reduce the rate of administration.
