indications:
Insufficient oral fluid supply. Irrigation in the postoperative period. Excessive loss of fluids and electrolytes due to vomiting and diarrhea and through intestinal or biliary fistulas.
Composition:
100 ml of liquid contains 575 mg of sodium chloride, 279 mg of sodium acetate, 79 mg of sodium citrate, 20 mg of Calcium chloride, 38 mg of potassium chloride, 9 mg of Magnesium chloride. The osmolarity is 295 mOsm / l, pH 5.0-7.5.
Action:
Isotonic solution with an ionic composition similar to the composition of blood plasma. Contains sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium salts. Administered intravenously in disorders of water and electrolyte balance, it supplements the deficiency of minerals and water. Briefly increases the volume of plasma.
Contraindications:
Acute renal failure, hypervolemia, hypernatremia, hyperkalemia, hypercalcemia, hypermagnesaemia, pulmonary edema. The product should not be administered with blood through the same transfusion set (pseudo-agglutination of blood cells).
Precautions:
Use with caution in patients with circulatory insufficiency, chronic renal failure and in other diseases with swelling caused by sodium retention.
Pregnancy and lactation:
During pregnancy, use only if the anticipated benefits to the mother outweigh the potential risk to the fetus. During breastfeeding, use in case of extreme necessity.
Side effects:
Injection site may develop: inflammation or extravasation of blood. Occasionally observed: venous thrombosis, fever (indications to discontinue administration of the preparation). Too fast supply of the preparation, especially in elderly patients or with a reduced tolerance to cardiovascular overload, may cause heart failure and pulmonary edema.
Dosage:
Intravenous drip infusion: depending on the need for liquids and electrolytes, usually about 1000 ml / day. The maximum daily dose: 40 ml / kg / day; infusion rate: 3 ml / kg / h.
